We met in Newcastle's Bond Head Waterfront park on a lovely spring day, cycling up Mill St to Metcalf St, which becomes Concession Rd 1 after a climb out of town, for a ride east up & down a few gullies before reaching Easttown Line Rd & a ride south to Lakeshore Rd where we split into 2 groups. One group cycled east on Lakeshore Rd to the Wesleyville stack & turned around for the return ride to Bond Head on the Waterfront Trail & a ride of 37 km. The 2nd group turned west onto Lakeshore Rd for a leisurely 27 km scenic ride on the Waterfront Trail beside Lake Ontario ending with a spectacular downhill ride into Bond Head harbour. After the ride we enjoyed lunch at Massey's 1-905-987-3747. Burton's photos
