Ski Report - Feb 16 - 22

Monday Feb 16 - John Crawford skied on the Peterborough Ski Club trails at Liftlock Golf Club & said that the course was being enjoyed by a big crowd on Family Day. Barry had skied it last Friday. This year has been a good year with all the snow accumulation & it provides a nice alternative to driving 40 km to KNSC, a day ticket or season membership can be purchased online. Bill Hardwick & Bill McKnight have also skied there. PGCC has groomed trails on the fairways & is open to the public at no cost.

Tuesday Feb 17 - As usual we met at 10:00 for a ski in spring-like conditions with the temperature @ 1C at the start & 7C by the end in sunshine. The Tanney Loop had been groomed so we skied Beaver to Trillim to Wolf, up Kawartha to Trillium & down to Wolf where Arndt, Peter Dave & Bill skied over to Kawartha for a return to the chalet. Pete, John, Barry & Dale continued down Trillium to Beaver for a return to the chalet.

John & Bill left to ski on Fisher while Pete & Blake continued to ski on Adam Scott that starts with a long downhill run before winding it's way to the Laderach cabin. From there we skied on Deer which has an exhilarating downhill run on the way to Kenner. We returned to the chalet on Olympic, Jam & Rabbit. Our skis were gliding well on a day with sunshine & temperatures around 0C
